Educators might use blogs to share their research or to journal ideas. In sharing their research they get the perspective of other people. When people collaborate on an issue it allows for the educators to process and come up with new ideas. The journaling allows for thoughts to be revisited over time and to reflect on ideas from the past.

I think journals are a good method of keep track of previous thoughts and allow you to adjust your idea or thinking process to improve on your inquiry. It also allow others to input/suggest ideas that have worked for them in the past or was a part of their inquiry.
